About Emerald City Bagels
Mother & Daughter from Long Island offering classically made long-fermented bagels. Using simple ingredients - never bleached and bromated flour, and the traditional method of boiling and baking on stones in a rotating rack oven. Our bagels weigh-in around 4 oz and are deliciously dense and chewy. You'll also find housemade spreads including vegan cream cheese, and our inventive Cream Cheese of the Month flavor. Pair a bagel sandwich with a hot or cold coffee brewed with locally roasted Dancing Goats beans, an Iced Matcha Latte or one of our refreshing in-house flavored seltzers. Our friendly staff is waiting to welcome you into our little slice of home.

My second time visiting this location and it was delicious!! The best dill cream cheese!! Although, the jalapeño cheddar bagel with garlic herb spread was 10/10!

I have been coming here for years and the flavors are immaculate. The folks here are kind. The restrooms are clean. So what then is my bad score? The cream cheese is out of control. Every. Single. Time. I order a bagel here I ask "please please please less cream cheese" today I asked for that - and it was on the little machine "less please!" Look at this photo. What would *more* cream cheese even look like? I have a beard - and I often get my bagel with bacon and I have had on and off too much cream cheese and always blamed the bacon for making it messy. But here I am in the work bathroom washing my whole situation because my lunch is creamcheese city with the *concept* of a bagel. What do I have to say to get less than a pound of cream cheese? Why even have an option for less if it doesnt reduce the amount? I'd rather they just say "no can do big dog - everyone gets 1 lb of cream no matter what". 12 dollars + 20 percent tip for 2 bagels and I cant even get *less* cream cheese. Other than that love this place!

Delicious! Was recommended Emerald City by a mutual friend while visiting Atlanta. Ordered the Suffolk on Everything with the Garlic Herb Dill spread and added cucumber. It was all very flavorful! The staff were all friendly and there were plenty of seats to sit and enjoy my breakfast.

My partner and I got bagels this morning and I loved it! It was my first time and as a person who passively likes/ eats bagels it was my first time I was like oh wow. I would actually love eating a bagel sandwich from here. Here’s why: The everything bagel I got had great flavor (a touch more salt than other places. Do other places actually use salt on the outside of their bagels? 🤔) It was thin in a way that was amazing. The bagel was thin enough where it didn’t feel like my jaw was having a light workout. It was just great flavor and exterior perfection with enough bread inside to be filling. I got my cream cheese on the side because I wanted to try both the regular whipped cream cheese and their current flavor of charred scallions which was amazing. I will say if you’re reading this when they have this flavor, it may go better with just the plain but it was still good on the everything, just a lot of savory flavors in a bite. I also got their chicken sausage on the side which is a thin patty that was also savory but beautifully balanced and amazing for a bagel shop. With all that in mind, I could imagine me putting all these pieces together next time and having a great sand

Having previously lived in New York City for 25 years before coming to Atlanta, Emerald City Bagel was a curl of the monkey’s paw when I asked for a New York-styled bagel. As some caveats, my partner and I went to the secondary location on the belt line - which receives the boiled bagels from the main location every morning. We also went around 1:00 PM, so we didn’t get a chance to try the freshest bagels. However, having been to other NYC bagel stores like Best Bagel and Coffee and Katz Deli, this Emerald City Bagel experience was a 2.5/5 I asked the cashier about how the bagels were made, and he let me know that the owner of the franchise moved from New York to Atlanta to open his shop. The cashier let me know that the bagels are boiled in the traditional way, and that they are sent from the main location every morning. The environment and ambience was a retro take on a bagel shop. All of the employees had a 1950s styled uniform, complete with a small paper hat. The pace of the restaurant was decidedly not NYC, which wasn’t a problem but a noticeable difference. The restaurant was not jam packed with people calling out their bagels, and the staff didn’t have the feel of seasoned
